The vineyard is managed according to Terra Vitis principles, with the gravel soils providing excellent drainage and retaining heat, helping Cabernet Sauvignon achieve full ripeness while preserving freshness. The 2020 growing season was exceptionally early, with a mild winter and spring followed by a hot, dry summer. The resulting fruit was concentrated and ripe, while the cooler periods helped retain acidity and aromatic definition.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe 2020 is a classic Médoc blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot and 8% Petit Verdot. Fermentation is followed by around 12–14 months in French oak, with a proportion of new barrels alongside one- and two-year-old oak, allowing the fruit and gravelly character to remain at the forefront. Ripe cassis, blackberry and dark cherry lead into violet, graphite, cedar, tobacco and subtle toasted spice. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with supple fruit, fine-grained tannins and a fresh, savoury finish. James Suckling and Wine Enthusiast both awarded 92 points, while The Wine Society described the 2020 as combining supple fruit and spice with the cool freshness of the vintage.
