Bedoba, meaning Day of Luck, is a Georgian winery dedicated to the indigenous Saperavi grape, partially vinified in traditional qvevri vessels. Founded by the Konchosvilli family in 1737, the winery has a long ecclesiastical history, reflected in the Saint Nina icon on the label. The vineyards in Kindzmarauli and Kvareli, Kakheti, are sustainably farmed with organic practices, on trellised slopes over 400 metres with black shale soils. The wine is vegan-friendly.

Bedoba Saperavi 2022 is made from 100% Saperavi, with 55% fermented in stainless-steel, 15% in 5000-litre wooden vats, 20% in second/third-use American oak barrels and 10% in qvevri. After six weeks of fermentation and malolactic conversion, it is aged six months in the bottle. Dark purple in colour, it has aromas of blackberries, herbs and black pepper, with a creamy, juicy palate and ripe tannins, pairing well with grilled meats, stews, roasted vegetables and aged cheeses.
