Casa Ferreirinha began in 1952 and is home to the world renowned Barca-Velha, which releases bottles only when the most outstanding vinatges have been created. From the same winery however comes Quinta da Leda, a complex blend more accessible on a yearly basis. With grapes from their primary estate on the border close to Spain, this wine harvested only at the perfect moment and left to age for 18 months in oak barrels resulting in a freshness balanced with depth and texture. The Quinta da Leda is ready to drink right off the shelf, can be left to age as is a staple of Luís Sottomayors work.

A wine of great intensity, complexity and elegance. On the nose, aromas of ripe red and black fruits combine with spicy notes of cedar and tobacco box and subtle floral notes of rose and violet. Full-bodied on the palate, with ripe and velvety tannins and a refreshing acidity which carries the complex flavours onto the lingering finish.
