Description
The soils in Rheingau / Rheinhessen are defined by the Rhein Valley. Rheinhessen is a big and diverse wine region lying on the south bank, while Rheingau is one long hillside on the northern bank of the river. One can find many types of soil, including chalk, sand, gravel, clay, loess, quartz, and slate. The different soils contribute to the diversity of Riesling wines in the Region.
This wine is a charming expression of cherry, strawberry, and raspberry with balsamic aromas in the background. Elegant attack, with lovely notes of red fruits, red berries, lovely acidity silky tannins, and a long finish.
The Irish Times’s John Wilson: “Utterly seductive wine with silky light red cherry fruits.”
