Description
We’ve put together some of our favourite white wines in a presentation box complete with tasting notes. Here’s a rundown of the wines included:
Percheron Chenin Blanc Viognier – This Chenin Viognier blend is made from up to 40 year old bush vines planted on hidden corners of the Cape. Vibrant and aromatic with generous fresh apricot, nectarine and hints of passion fruit on the nose. A creamy palate with real fresh fruit flavours, fleshy just picked apricots with hints of guava. Bright acidity and minerality delivers a good balance.
Domaine Montredon Picpoul de Pinet – Crisp, clean, mineral and simply perfect with the local seafood along the shores of the Mediterranean . With a delicate nose of exotic fruit and white flowers lifted with remarkably fresh acidity and just a hint of saltiness on the finish. A classic from this region and immensely popular.
La Guerre des Bouchons White – Vin de Pays d’Oc – A very aromatic white with notes of apricot and tropical fruits. Nice and round, it is perfect as an aperitif or with fish.
Adega de Penalva Branco DOC Dao – Light and crisp, with slightly heady aromatics, but completely dry on the palate, this wine is clean and refreshing,
Ciello Bianco Catarratto – Fragrant and crisp, deep golden/orangey colour, Ciello Bianco Catarratto is amazingly fresh and vibrant, delicate flavours of white fruit, hints of peach and lemon zest mid palate and soft notes of marzipan on its bright finish.
Merinas Verdejo – Well balanced, fruity and dry. Flavours and aromas of citrus and fresh herbs.
