Seghesio owns 120 hectares of sustainably-farmed vineyards across several renowned appellations in Sonoma, including Dry Creek Valley, Alexander Valley and Russian River Valley. Grapes for this Zinfandel were primarily estate-grown from old head-pruned vineyards in the Dry Creek bench and the cooler southwest Alexander Valley. The average age of the vines is approximately 70 years old.
This bottle has deeply perfumed aromas of dark berries. Old vine Zinfandel’s woody spiciness are alongside layered bright fruit aromas reminiscent of a rich berry pie with a toasted crust. On the palate, a vibrant acidity and balanced tannins continue through the long, lingering finish.
