Grown on a south-west facing slope exposed to constant down winds allows the grapes to dry fast and develop in ideal conditions for a dry riesling. 45 year old vines planted in generous loess and loam soil provide a distinct aroma and a defined flavor for this riesling. Hand-harvested grapes whole-bunch-pressed for eight hours. Fermented in its own natural yeasts. Aged on the complete lees for 13 months before being racked in December then aged on fine lees until April. 95 Parker pts – The Wine Advocate.
