Nestled on the steep slopes of Mosel in Germany, the Dr. Loosen estate has been in the same family for over 200 years. After studying archaeology, Ernest Loosen decided to take over the family business. Trained in oenology, he travelled the world from Austria to Burgundy, Alsace and California before dedicating himself fully to the Dr Loosen estate in 1988.
Dr. Loosen’s non-estate wine embodies the elegant and racy style of classic Mosel Riesling. It is refreshing and fruity, with a fine mineral edge that is typical of the region.
