Georg Schmelzer Zweigelt 2023
Zweigelt grows on three types of soil. Only the finest grapes are combined to create this complex wine. Harvested by hand, destemmed, not pressed. Only strained must is used, which ferments on the skins. The wine ferments exclusively with the grapes' own wild yeast and matures for 12 months in large oak barrels (2500 liters), without sulfur and unfiltered before being bottled. Dark berries and cocoa, intense sour cherry fruit with dark chocolate and graphite undertones, taut tannins, fine acidity, a velvety texture, and a long, rich finish.
